Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Barton-upon-Humber is seeking a Trainee Class 2 driver to start as a Driver’s Mate on a full-time temporary basis. You will gain hands-on experience delivering to homes, with shifts from 4am to 6am and support to obtain your Class 2 licence.

The role offers progression to a qualified Class 2 driver, funded CPC and licence training, and potential permanent opportunity after the temp period, with 25 days holiday and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hardworking individuals sought to join home delivery team.
• Willingness to train and obtain Class 2 licence; company provides full support.
• Maximum of 6 points on your licence; DBS check required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with heavy lifting and deliveries to customers' rooms.
• Make customer calls with delivery ETAs and log deliveries.
• Ensure items are scanned and accounted for.
• Support the driver and learn the daily routine of a Class 2 role.
• Maintain safety, timekeeping, and customer service.
