Have you just completed your A Levels and are looking for a career path? Unsure what to do?

Due to expansion, we are seeking additional Trainee Claims Handlers to develop a long-term career within the motor claims department. Training is provided for the first two years, with salary increments every 4 months to support your career growth as a Claims Negotiator.

As a member of the Claims team, you will be trained to investigate, negotiate, and settle claims over a 2-year milestone training period.

You will be assigned a small number of claims to start building your own claims portfolio, including claims involving Credit Hire and non-serious Personal Injury cases.

Performance reviews, including salary increases, will occur every 4 months during the training period. Salary rises are performance-based.

Key Responsibilities of the Trainee Claims Handler
  • Investigate allocated claims thoroughly.
  • Communicate with policyholders, solicitors, and others via telephone and written correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate estimates on outstanding claims to ensure proper reserves are set.
  • Work within the team to settle claims within appropriate timeframes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to manage workload and enhance team performance.
  • This role is primarily office-based.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Needed
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent (grades 4-9 / A-C), including English Language & Literature and Mathematics.
  • A-level qualifications, preferably in Maths, English, or Business.
