Job Description:

Have you just completed your A Levels and are looking for a career path? Unsure what to do?

Due to expansion, we are seeking additional Trainee Claims Handlers to develop a long-term career within the motor claims department. Training is provided for the first two years, with salary increments every 4 months to support your development as a Claims Negotiator.

As a member of the Claims team, you will be trained to investigate, negotiate, and settle claims over a 2-year milestone training period.

You will be assigned a small number of claims initially, including Credit Hire and non-serious Personal Injury claims, to start building your own claims portfolio.

Performance reviews, including salary increases, will be conducted every 4 months during the training period, based on performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Trainee Claims Handler

  • Investigate assigned claims thoroughly.
  • Communicate with policyholders, solicitors, and others via telephone and written correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate estimates on outstanding claims to ensure appropriate reserves are set.
  • Work within the team to ensure all claims are settled timely.
  • Support team colleagues as needed to enhance overall performance.
  • This role is primarily office-based.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Needed

  • Experience working in an office environment.

  • Willingness to learn.
