The role: The Junior Claims Adjuster will join a cohort of 3 in London that will participate in an extensive 24-month global training program, enabling them to provide support to the highly talented group claims team on a day-to-day basis by developing a working understanding of claim processes and procedures—learning from some of the best claims talent in the London Insurance market. More specifically, you will:

  • Support the investigation and handling of all claims in accordance with company standards and procedures. Help ensure claims systems are kept up to date in a timely manner.
  • Support the promotion of compliance with best practices for all aspects of claims management. Work closely with Underwriters during renewal meetings as required and provide regular feedback from a Claims perspective.
  • Help to ensure all handled claims are properly processed and reserved, ensuring alignment and compliance with Global reserving practices and strategy.
  • Support claims team members in participation of claims audits.

Role requirements:

  • A good level of Vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience is required, with a willingness to pursue further education, specifically to study for the Insurance exams.
  • Key skills required: we are seeking a dynamic, hardworking & driven highly collaborative individual with excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Obtain feedback, learn from others’ experiences, and take responsibility for honing skills to improve job performance.
  • Consistently meet expectations, excel when it matters most, and respond quickly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Remain open to new thinking and ideas, and view situations from multiple perspectives.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)—ideally demonstrate advanced Excel skills. A quick learner.
