Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting for a Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner in Basildon, Essex. This training position combines a formal training pathway with hands-on work in our Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services.

The role supports children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioral difficulties using low intensity evidence-based interventions. The programme is part of NHS England CYP IAPT and will commence training as part of a structured pathway, with a start

Qualifications

• Training position with training through Anna Freud alongside working in Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services.
• CWP role developed by NHS England as part of the CYP psychological trainings (CYP IAPT) programme.
• Course focuses on working in community and primary care settings to increase access to support for children, young people and families; trained to offer low intensity support and guided self-help.
• Available to start in early-mid January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide low intensity interventions and guided self-help to children and young people as part of the CWP pathway.
• Work with schools, parents and carers to support anxious, low mood and behavioral difficulties in youths.
• Participate in training through Anna Freud while delivering community-based wellbeing services in Essex.
