Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting four graduate-level Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners as a funded one-year training post in Essex. You will train through Anna Freud while working in the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services, delivering guided self-help and parenting interventions.

The role forms part of the CYP Psychological Trainings programme, with a start date in January 2027. A driving license and use of a vehicle for work are required, and duties include cross‑agency collaboration and

Qualifications

Second-class or higher bachelor’s degree or overseas equivalent in psychology, education, childhood development, social work or related field.
Degree with further training or experience in a relevant field (e.g. teaching, TA, learning support, HCA, youth work, counselling).
Ability to use IT systems and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Provide guided self-help therapy and parenting interventions.
Engage in evidence-based and collaborative practice.
Monitor and share outcomes data with young people, families and commissioners.
Work with partner agencies to reduce stigma of mental health and promote emotional wellbeing.
Train colleagues from partner agencies and participate in CYP Psychological Trainings measures.
