Job summary

apetito is recruiting for a 40-hour-per-week role in The Low Risk Kitchen, with a 14:00–22:00 shift, Monday to Friday. The role starts at grade 4 (£14.78) and rises to grade 5 (£15.93) after training.

You will weigh ingredients, follow recipes, ensure yields, and help maintain product quality in the Prep Department. The package includes a competitive Living Wage, 25 days holiday, pension, and a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or willingness to complete
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple tasks in Prep Department

Responsibilities

• Weigh products for recipes.
• Control leftover stock and apply FIFO.
• Cook according to provided recipes.
• Clean pots between products and liaise with High Care Ops when changing from meat to vegetarian products.
• Complete paperwork accurately and legibly as required.
• Be able to work in other areas as required.
• Ensure finished cooking is right first time and report quality issues.
• Take readings to ensure batch consistency.
