CCTV Trainee Engineer
Full-time, Permanent
Luton *Willing to travel and stay awake up to 4 nights a week*
Monday to Friday

Do you have a positive approach and a willingness to learn while delivering CCTV installation, intruder systems, and IT networking services nationwide?

As a Trainee CCTV Engineer, you will be required to:
  1. Install, service, maintain, test, and commission intruder alarm systems, IP surveillance systems, and access control systems, following SSAIB standards and regulations.
  2. Assist and learn from senior engineers, progressing from basic tasks to full system installations.
  3. Deliver high-quality installations efficiently, following detailed plans and specifications.
  4. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring proper system functionality through testing.
  5. Conduct site visits to clean, check, and maintain systems.
  6. Communicate with site teams, request remedial work, and conduct surveys.
  7. Liaise with Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC).
  8. Produce commissioning, handover documents, and as-fit drawings.
  9. Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
  10. Train clients on system operation and functionality.
  11. Attend staff meetings and health & safety talks.
  12. Collect and deliver equipment from designated locations.
  13. Complete required site visit documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Demonstrate a general knowledge of all Security Systems.
  2. Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  3. Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
  4. Complete any relevant health and safety tests/qualifications required to access site and carry out works above.
  5. Full Driving License (subject to inspection for company insurances).
  6. Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Enhanced Disclosure Check (DBS).
  7. Must be willing to work away for up to 4 nights.
