Trainee Cash Management Sales Support

About the team:

Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Management, Trade Services, Factoring and Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Clearing Services, along with FX services. The PCM team provides cash management products and services to corporate clients, with over 6,000 specialists in more than 50 countries. The TRA team handles trade-related services like documentary credits, LCs, guarantees, and finance across 50 countries.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

• Support the Sales Director in servicing and expanding existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities within a defined client portfolio.
• Contribute to delivering a 'best in class' client experience.
• Assist in managing and mitigating risks, including KYC and credit compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Sales Director with commercial activities and client management.
• Perform basic credit analysis, handle credit applications, renewals, and governance with support.
• Create and maintain marketing materials like pitch books and RFI/RFP responses.
• Conduct KYC on-boarding and renewals in collaboration with SG teams.
• Act as second point of contact in the absence of the Sales Director.
• Handle client queries and ensure resolution.
• Maintain MI data, including call reports, scorecards, and deal pipelines.
• Develop and sustain good working relationships with support teams for client benefit.

Profile required:

• Fluent/native English; second language advantageous.
• Recent graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical skills; knowledge of financial/credit analysis is a plus.
• Knowledge of KYC processes, cash management, and the global payments industry is beneficial.
• Numeracy and understanding of related financial products.
