Job summary

AWD Online is seeking a motivated Trainee CAD Technician / Technical Administrator in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire. This office-based role offers in-house Tekla training and exposure to Tekla Structures, AutoCAD and Excel to support construction safety projects.

You will help manage project information, produce 3D models and drawings, prepare information packs and liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to confirm requirements and request project information.
• Coordinate with office departments, project colleagues and client design teams.
• Request 3D models and project information needed for detailing.
• Produce 3D models and detailing using Tekla Structures, with AutoCAD for 2D work.
• Prepare and issue General Arrangement Drawings for comment and approval.
• Compile site prints, installation guides and toolbox talk packs.
• Assist the technical team with measuring chargeable areas and creating site prints.
• Input and maintain project information using Excel.
• Identify and resolve potential issues during detailing.
• Work effectively within a small team and independently to support project schedules.
