Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for both Trainee and Experienced Bus Drivers for our Southport depot.

Don’t worry if you’ve never driven a bus before – we will provide you with all the training you need, and you’ll earn as you learn! The hourly rate will be £13.90 which increases to £16.35 after 12 months.

For experienced PCV Drivers we offer an hourly rate of £13.90 which increases to £16.35 after 6 months.

We’re offering full time opportunities with potential of taking on overtime if you wish to take additional hours. You will also be supplied with a uniform, training and development – we have opportunities to develop your experience and your career across the business.

All successful candidates will attend an induction at a local depot which will give you all the training you need including vehicle familiarisation, route learning, ticket machines, customer care, policies and procedures. If you don’t already hold your PCV licence, you will attend our Arriva Training School for full CPC training to get you ready to start in your new role as an Arriva Bus Driver.

About you:

While you don’t need any experience driving a bus, we do have a few requirements. You’ll be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience with no more than 6 points on your licence. The role will be shift-based, so you’ll need to be prepared to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Next stop, Arriva.
