Job summary

Arriva Midlands Limited is seeking a Trainee Bus Driver at our Derby depot. You will receive full training to gain your PCV licence, then work with a mentor while starting on a rotating shift pattern from early morning to evening. Overtime and progression opportunities are available in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Strong people and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete paid training to obtain PCV licence at Arriva Training School.
• Work with a mentor after training for several weeks.
• Drive routes to and from work reliably and safely.
• Take on overtime shifts and respond to schedule needs.
• Support customer service by assisting passengers on/off buses.
