Job summary

First Bus in Yeovil is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver on a full-time, permanent basis. You will train to operate passenger services across mornings, evenings and weekends, with shifts planned in advance for structure and flexibility.

Starting pay is set during training with automatic pay progression to higher rates as you gain experience. No prior driving experience is required, and a full UK licence is needed with up to 6 points. Training is provided to help you qualify quickly.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old with 6 months driving experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points is required.
• Must be flexible to work a rota with early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
• Excellent people and customer service skills are essential.

Job Title - Trainee Bus Driver

Location - Yeovil

Salary - £14.10 per hour

Contract - Full Time, Permanent, 38 hours per week - 5 days per week, Monday – Sunday

No experience needed, full training provided.

Looking for a permanent, full-time role? We’re hiring Trainee Bus Drivers to join our Yeovil team. You’ll work a variety of shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends. Shifts are planned in advance, giving you structure and flexibility, including weekday time off.

Clear, guaranteed pay progression

As you complete training and gain experience, your pay increases automatically

• £14.10 per hour while training
• £15.10 per hour once fully qualified

What we need from you:

• Proof of your Right to Work in the UK
• You must be at least 18 years of age with at least 6 months driving experience
• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Flexibility to work on a rota / shift basis. (There are a variety of shifts which may consist of early mornings (starting 03.30hrs) / late nights (finishing at 02:00hrs) / weekends.)
• Great people skills
