About ICAP

ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.

We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.

For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades.

Role Overview:

This is an entry level role and will provide the successful application with on-the-job training and vast exposure to the fast-paced financial markets. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
  2. Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
  3. Promote TP ICAP Group.
  4. Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
  5. Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems.
  6. Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
  7. Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  1. Fluent in both French and English (verbal and written)
  2. Knowledge of financial products, investment strategies and market dynamics.
  3. Able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team - either professionally, through sporting achievements or similar.
  4. Proficient in MS Excel.
  5. Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  6. Excellent attention to detail, can understand and translate data to a wide-ranging audience.
  7. Proven ability to work under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Critical problem-solving skills.
  9. High ethical standards and commitment to delivering for clients responsibly.

Desired

  1. Programming skills would be advantageous.
  2. Any additional language skills a benefit.
  3. Experience using financial software, trading platforms and market research tools.
  4. Can easily build relationships and demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.
  5. Interest in both the macro and micro-economics landscapes.
  6. Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.
