Job Description:

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Brick and Concrete Product Tester.

This role involves working primarily in a physical test environment at our Measham laboratory, testing products and materials used in construction across the UK. No previous experience is necessary; however, the candidate should be able to work in a team, perform tests accurately, and handle raw materials practically.

The position reports to the Clay Services Manager and supports the Technologist. Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining samples from the factory
• Measuring products for dimensional accuracy
• Weighing products to verify density
• Testing physical strength of products
• Sieving clays and aggregates for grading
• Updating data spreadsheets
• Maintaining clean work areas

Candidate requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills in English
• Good numeracy, computer literacy, and methodical data collection
• Teamwork and initiative
• Manual handling of products and materials
