Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

The Syndicate (SYN) team acts as an intermediary between issuer clients and investor clients. The role of SYN is to advise on pricing, define an execution strategy, distribute bond issuance through Fixed Income sales, and occasionally manage the unsold portion of a deal. Most deals brought to market by SYN are executed on a best effort basis, sized and priced to demand.

Summary Of The Key Purposes Of The Role

• Assist the corporate team in preparing pricing using Zeus
• Manage the database of market deals
• Produce analytics and statistics
• Support preparation of presentations for internal clients under supervision
• Assist in transaction execution
• Help produce and update internal documentation

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Update the database
• Perform basic pricing and preparation tasks under supervision
• Collaborate with the middle office
• Work with SYN support to ensure smooth settlement of transactions
• Monitor the desk's PnL
• Assist with administrative tasks as required
• Help organize Roadshows
• Gather feedback through discussions with Fixed Income sales

Required Profile

• Degree or equivalent in a Finance-related subject
• Good basic knowledge of financial markets and products
• Strong mathematical skills
• Knowledge of bonds and bond mathematics is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage workload and work autonomously
• Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Additional European language skills are advantageous
