Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking Trainee Behaviour Support Workers to support pupils with additional needs in partner primary and secondary schools across Medway. You will work with groups and one-to-one, helping children with ASC, PMLD, MLD and SEMH to stay engaged and progress.

This role requires a nurturing, patient attitude, willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS and registration on the Update Service. Training will be provided, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, and

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting.

Responsibilities

• Support groups of children with ASC, PMLD, MLD and SEMH needs.
• Work in group and 1:1 settings with a range of ages and learning levels.
• Adapt daily routines to make time in school beneficial and productive; help prevent triggers or signs of unease.
