Salary: Up to £19.05 per hour once qualified

Working hours: Saturday, between 8am to 12pm + more hours when required

Here at More Community Leisure Trust our goal is to get more people active by providing affordable safe and enjoyable lessons for all and right now we have the opportunity to train a new cohort of Baby and Toddler Swimming Teachers to grow our programmes to ensure we can do just that. If you are passionate about ensuring all children have access to affordable lessons no matter their ability or background this role could be right for you.

Our next training course will be taking place at Leys Leisure Centre, mid-November (exact dates to be confirmed, Its a 4-day course (9am-5pm).

By following the tried and tested Swim England learn to swim framework we develop the confidence in all swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even to represent our country.

Teaching our swimming lessons will see you delivering safe fun and progressive lessons, but this is also a mentality we take towards our teachers\' careers and personal development. We want you to feel safe in your employment so we will contract you for as little or many teaching hours as you want around your current commitments.

Paying for your own safeguarding and DBS checks aren\'t fun or cheap so we provide these for you! There\'s also no need to hold your own personal insurance as you will be covered by ours. Working for us will enable you to work within all our leisure centres as well as giving you excellent personal and career development through continued training and learning opportunities.

We share your passion for leisure and want you to be able to embrace all the excellent services we provide to our customers which is why all of teachers are given a free membership as well as one for a friend or family member.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

What you’ll need to do the role

Working as a swimming teacher will see you interacting heavily with our customers so you will use your excellent communication and customer service skills to serve and support people of all ages and backgrounds.

You will be someone who is passionate about swimming and the service they deliver ensuring you can use your motivational and organisational skills to deliver safe, fun and progressive lessons. If you can provide the enthusiasm, we will provide the training and qualification.
