Job description

The company is a well-established, high-end gate automation firm specializing in high-end commercial and domestic properties. They provide gates and automated barriers in the London area as well as Essex. They offer bespoke services to ensure their clients are well looked after, and their high-end engineering staff contributes to a strong word-of-mouth reputation.

Due to expansion, they are recruiting for a Trainee Gate Automation Engineer. The role involves:

  • Covering areas around London, the M25, and Essex, where the company is based.
  • Providing services, repairs, and assisting with the installation of automatic gates and barriers for high-end commercial and domestic properties.
  • Working on sliding, swing, bi-fold, driveway, electric, and automated gates made of iron, steel, and wood.

Skills needed to be a Trainee Gate Automation Engineer:

  • Experience working with hand tools on-site within electrical or mechanical sectors.
  • You must be at least 24 years old for van insurance purposes.
  • Experience with automated gates is preferred but not essential; backgrounds in electrical, mechanical, lifts, construction, etc., are also considered.
  • Welding experience is beneficial but not necessary.
  • You should have a positive attitude to learn and progress, as ongoing training will be provided.
  • Residing near the office just outside Braintree, Essex.

Salary and benefits for a Trainee Gate Automation Engineer:

  • £25,000 - £30,000 basic salary.
  • Full training on gates and automation.
  • Opportunities for overtime once trained.
  • Van, phone, and other benefits.
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
