Trainee Associate Surveyor - Birmingham (City Centre)

Location: Birmingham City Centre (Must have extensive knowledge of the city centre property market)

Description:

Connells Survey & Valuation recognises the importance of developing the next generation of professional Surveyors. We offer an in-house, paid AssocRICS training programme that provides structured training and support throughout your employment. Our approach combines technical training with practical, on-the-job experience, including shadowing experienced Surveyors and participating in classroom sessions.

Our programme integrates classroom learning with regular assessments and practical experience, aiming to equip Trainees with the skills necessary for a successful career as a Valuation Surveyor.

Successful Trainee AssocRICS Surveyors will have the opportunity for career progression within Connells Survey & Valuation, one of the UK's leading surveying firms. Applicants should have a passion for residential property and surveying, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, and organisational abilities.

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Either:
    • An RICS-accredited surveying degree (graduate or postgraduate) including valuation and/or building surveying modules, with at least one year of property-related work experience.
    • An RICS-approved HND, HNC, NVQ Level 3 diploma, BTEC, or foundation degree with two or more years of property-related work experience (e.g., estate agency, surveying, or valuation).
  2. Or:
    • A minimum of 4 years of property-related work experience (e.g., negotiator level or higher in estate agency, or equivalent in asset management, LPA, or property management with direct involvement in caseload handling and decision-making).
