About The Job

Due to increased workload, we are recruiting for an Asset Inspection Technician (PCA). This physically demanding role involves working both on-site and in an office environment within a fast-paced reactive department serving numerous clients across the country.

A good educational background, including an engineering qualification, would be advantageous. A proactive and flexible approach to work is essential. Some work may require flexible hours and staying away from home for short periods.

Experience in pipe condition testing, ultrasonic technologies, and drilling and tapping live water mains is desirable. However, consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience in the water industry in servicing or maintenance roles.

Asset condition assessment may include ultrasonic, forensic, and under-pressure camera surveys. Office-based work such as report compilation will also be part of the role, requiring attention to detail and proficiency with computer applications. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

What You’ll Need
  • A full and current driving license.
  • HNC Engineering or Electrical qualification (or working towards it) is advantageous.
  • Strong IT, numeracy, and literacy skills. Knowledge of utility sector pipe networks is desirable.
  • Living within a commutable distance to Tipton.
  • Motivation to develop the necessary skills and attributes to succeed as a technician.
