Qualifications

  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Experience delivering Health and Social Care qualifications is desirable.
  • Experience in Work-Based Learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, sector-relevant training programmes to learners.
  • Travel across the region to visit learners for assessments.
  • Develop Individual Learning Plans tailored to each learner.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Plan, monitor, and achieve performance targets.
  • Facilitate assessments and tests for learners.
  • Stay updated on Health and Social Care regulations.

Job description
Overview

Hoop PS&HR are proud to be working closely with a forward thinking and employee focused organisation who are currently looking for a Trainee Assessor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This position is based in North Wales and comes with a salary of up to £26,000.

You will deliver high quality, engaging training and assessment to individuals working in a range of care settings, such as residential care, domiciliary care, and community support services. Your work will directly impact the quality of care delivered across the sector by helping learners build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care.

In this role, you will help increase the company's performance by driving positive learner outcomes, meeting performance targets, and contributing to the continuous improvement of training provision. Occupational competence in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards the Assessor Award (CAVA) required.

  • Develop and complete Individual Learning Plans tailored to each learner, outlining clear, achievable learning paths.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and guided learning hours in line with audit and funding requirements.
  • Plan, monitor, and achieve agreed performance and learner progression targets.
  • Facilitate required assessments and tests, helping learners prepare and build confidence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Health and Social Care regulations, and Work-Based Learning Professional Standards.
  • Attend relevant training and personal development activities.
Requirements
  • Occupational experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Willingness to work towards Assessor Award (CAVA).
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
  • Safeguarding and Prevent knowledge.
  • Experience delivering Health and Social Care qualifications (Desirable).
  • Experience in Work-Based Learning (Desirable).
  • CAVA / TAQA Assessor qualification or willing to work towards.
  • ESW Communication Level 2 or willing to work towards.
  • Fluency in Welsh.
