Stagecoach Hastings is offering an Apprenticeship for aspiring bus drivers. You will be paid during training and supported to gain your PCV licence, with a Level 2 Passenger Transport Apprenticeship lasting 13 months.

Based at our Hastings depot, you will train, learn on the job, and progress through the scheme while earning a competitive hourly rate and benefiting from full training costs covered.

Salary

£16.23 per hour (£32,914.44 gross per annum) after a qualifying period of 6 months

Earn while you learn, we provide fully paid training to help you gain your PCV licence

Further training and support provided through a Level 2 Passenger Transport Apprenticeship Scheme (13 months)

Based at our Hastings depot, located at Beaufort Road, Silverhill, Hastings, East Sussex, TN37 6PL

Pay rate during training of £12.71 per hour (training will last 8 - 10 weeks)

Pay rate after training until completion of probationary period (6 months from start date) of £15.11 per hour

Annual earnings of £32,914.44 (£16.23 per hour) following completion of training and probation based on a 39 hours per week contract as a Qualified Bus Driver

Shift pattern working any 5 days out of 7, including Early, Middle and Late shifts, weekends and bank holidays

What will you be doing?

• Completing our industry leading training, securing your PCV licence followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development
• Participating in the Passenger Transport Driver Level 2 Apprenticeship Scheme, delivered by our partner Realise Training, to provide further training, knowledge and support during the first year of your career, including 1-to-1 sessions with your very own Training & Development Officer

What do you need to apply?

• You need to be at least 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as a part of DVLA requirements)
