Job description

HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for a Trainee Applications Support Analyst to join our well-established and expanding IT team based at our headquarters in Halesowen. In addition to joining an established company, we offer a competitive salary and optional membership to our healthcare scheme.

About the role:

As our Trainee Applications Support Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring user satisfaction by delivering efficient and effective diagnosis, and taking responsibility for resolving or escalating Incidents and Requests within SLA targets (or finding suitable workarounds).

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. (Additional working hours may be required). Please note that this is an office based role.

Key responsibilities as our Trainee Applications Support Analyst:

• Ensuring user satisfaction by delivering efficient and effective diagnosis, and taking responsibility for resolving or escalating Incidents and Requests within SLA targets (or finding suitable workarounds).
• Develop the necessary knowledge and skills to diagnose and resolve complex product functionality issues related to the ERP system and other business applications.
• Assisting in implementation of new software solutions & functionality across the business.
• Ensuring documentation and knowledge articles are created and updated where required.
  
  

Skills we're looking for in our Trainee Applications Support Analyst:

• An understanding of basic business principles, including sales, purchasing, inventory, and accounting would be advantageous.
• ERP support experience and distribution industry knowledge is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills - must be able to interact effectively with personnel in various roles across the business.
• Effective personal management: able to work under pressure, manage workload and achieve deadlines, ability to manage priorities and expectations.
• Exceptional listening, communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong team player and problem solver.
• Flexible, with the ability to multi-task.
• ITIL framework awareness is an advantage.
