AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are inviting applications for Trainee Mechanics to be based at Bristol Airport on a 2D2N shift rotation, working in cooperation with our client airline Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline.

As part of our continuous growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for our 12-week training programme based at one of our industry-leading Maintenance facilities. Our Trainee Mechanic scheme is designed to provide hands-on training and valuable experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career as an Aircraft Mechanic and Engineer. Under the guidance of our experienced team, trainees will have the opportunity to learn essential skills and techniques required to build a new career within aviation. Following graduation from the 12-week training programme, successful candidates will then be based at our Bristol Line Station.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervised scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks on Ryanair’s Fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-8200 aircraft.
  • Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery support.
  • Base Husbandry and Housekeeping
  • Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to all company procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Any other tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Level 4 or above
  • Clean criminal record
  • Full UK Manual Driving License
  • Unrestricted right to live & work in the UK with a valid passport
  • Engineering Qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience in a similar mechanical role such as a motor vehicle mechanic, electrician, or fabricator (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Europe at short notice
  • This programme will require you to be based at one of our leading training facilities for the initial twelve weeks, so only apply if you are willing to stay away from home initially, prior to being based at Bristol.
