Job Title: Trainee Advanced Practitioner - Cardiology
Contract Type: Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic clinician to join our established Cardiology Advanced Practitioner ward team.
Are you an experienced registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional, with a strong interest in Cardiology and a desire to develop as an Advanced Practitioner.
Working alongside Consultant Cardiologists, Advanced Practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities required to practise at an advanced level, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with acute and complex cardiology presentations.
You will undertake a recognised MSc in Advanced Practice and develop the capabilities outlined within the NHS England Multi-professional Framework for Advanced Practice in England (2025) across the four pillars of advanced practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, and Research. Throughout your training, you will receive structured clinical and educational supervision from the Advanced Practice leadership team and designated medical supervisors.
On successful completion of the MSc advanced practice programme, demonstration of the required advanced practice capabilities, achievement of all specialty-specific competencies, and successful presentation of your portfolio through the Trust's Advanced Practice governance and expert review process, you will progress to a substantive Band 8a Advanced Practitioner role.

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
