Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the Trainee Advanced Practitioner - Cardiology. This permanent role supports developing as an Advanced Practitioner alongside consultants and the Cardiology MDT, with funded MSc training and structured supervision.

You will work to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for acute and complex cardiology presentations, progressing to a substantive Band 8a role upon successful completion and portfolio assessment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with interest in Cardiology
• Willingness to undertake MSc in Advanced Practice and training
• Desire to develop as an Advanced Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Join the Cardiology Advanced Practitioner ward team and contribute to patient care
• Work alongside Consultants, Advanced Practitioners and MDT to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Develop capabilities across the four pillars of advanced practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education and Research
