Job summary

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced practitioner to deliver advanced clinical care within a surgical specialty. You will engage in multidisciplinary practice, mentor junior colleagues and maintain accurate records while prioritising patient safety.

Applicants should hold a nursing degree with CPD evidence, have clinical assessment skills or be willing to obtain them, and work toward Level 7/Master’s level education as part of ongoing professional development.

Educations, Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of education, training or experience in Nursing
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Clinical Assessment Skills qualification or willingness to undertake within an agreed timeframe
  • Evidence of study at Level 7 or willingness to work towards Master\'s level education
Desirable criteria
  • Master\'s degree in advanced clinical Practice or related subject
  • Leadership or Management qualification
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
  • Experience working within an acute hospital setting
  • Experience of working at Band 6 or above
  • Demonstrable interest in breast care, surgery or advanced clinical practice
  • At least 2 years\' experience within a surgical speciality
  • Experience supporting student nurses or junior colleagues
  • Awareness of current NHS priorities and developments in advanced clinical practice
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of participation in audit, quality improvement or service development activities

From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of \u00a316. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay \u00a349.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.

Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
