An exciting opportunity has become available within a large established retail company. As a result of its growth, we have an opportunity within the Finance Team for an ambitious Trainee Accounts Assistant to join this busy team and grow along with the company. This role would ideally suit a 2:2 graduate who has a passion for accountancy, development, and is willing to be an integral part of the team.

Initial duties for the successful applicant will include:

• Bank Reconciliations
• Purchase Ledger Duties
• Assisting with updating Daily Cashflow
• Assisting with Daily Payment Reconciliations
• Assisting with Month End processes
• Assisting with Payroll duties
• Adhoc tasks and project work

The ideal candidate would be someone who has started or is looking to start AAT, wants a challenge, relishes a busy environment, and is keen to work long-term towards a professional accounting qualification.

You should have excellent attention to detail, a desire to forge ahead with a career in finance, and a willingness to grow within this exciting business.

One year of previous experience within finance is preferred; however, on-the-job training and support will be heavily invested in for the right candidate. Good communication skills and a strong working knowledge of Excel are required to be successful in this role.
