Job Title: TRAINEE ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

Salary Scale: GRADE 4-6: £27,711 - £35,235

PERMANENT: 37 HOURS PER WEEK

We are the Finance Team of a dynamic company that works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children's services including social care, early help and education. Our goal in everything is Put the Child First.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to forge a career within the Finance Service of the Company which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to access a programme of support to qualify as an Accounting Technician (AAT) whilst gaining valuable experience within a busy Finance Team and learn all aspects of this exciting child-centred organisation.

The postholder will be a key member of the Team and will proactively provide support on all aspects of finance and will assist budget holders both within the Company and Schools with budget preparation and management. The postholder will also help support the timely completion of final accounts, government returns and grant claims.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn both on the job and by examination; they will have excellent inter-personal skills and be a real team player.

Candidates could be part-AAT qualified or just starting this journey; any experience of working as part of a busy team would be an advantage.
