Job summary

Mourant Services (Guernsey) Limited seeks an Accounting professional to maintain client accounting records and support the preparation of financial statements and reports. You will engage with transactions, asset valuations and collaborate with managers to meet deadlines while adhering to firm policies.

You will develop technical skills through hands-on experience and structured training, with ACCA study support provided to help build long-term professional capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a certificate or permit to work in Guernsey.
• Good working knowledge of Excel.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• A desire to learn and develop your career path.
• High levels of self motivation and a good work ethic.
• A positive and flexible approach.
• An aptitude for data analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the client's accounting software.
• Assist with preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports and net asset valuations.
• Develop understanding of transactions and liaise with line manager as required.
• Work with colleagues to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met.
• Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across clients and address queries.
• Follow firm policies and procedures at all times.
