Are you a school leaver or university graduate looking to take the first step towards a rewarding career in accounting? We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join our growing accounting services team in Jersey.

In this role, you will work closely under supervision to provide a wide range of corporate accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients and related entities. You will utilise your time management and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed time frames.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounting for companies, trusts, and limited partnerships
  • Prepare bookkeeping records and assist with the preparation of simple financial statements and management accounts
  • Maintain accurate client records and comply with policies, including anti-money laundering and client due diligence
  • Proactively take on additional responsibilities and suggest ideas to improve efficiency
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Strong academic background, with a willingness to pursue professional qualifications (ACCA)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Viewpoint is a plus
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Commitment to excellence and client-focused service
  • Previous relevant accounting experience desirable or enthusiasm to move into a corporate accounting position
