Job description

Trainee Accountant Position Overview

• My client will fund your training and provide you with paid study leave to attend courses
• Prepare financial statements and tax compliance work
• Visit clients' premises to carry out your role
• Work within a team and undertake projects on your own

As the role requires the ability to study for exams, my client is looking for someone with a strong track record in obtaining qualifications - strong GCSE, A-Levels (or equivalent) and a Degree Qualification. However, other academic history is acceptable.

Trainee Accountant Position Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
• Confident speaking to new people - clients and colleagues
• A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Be able to take initiative, work to deadlines and prioritise work
• A highly organised individual
• Strong interest in Audit

The successful candidate will undertake both practical and theoretical training while studying towards your ACA qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.

Trainee Accountant Position Remuneration

• Starting salary from £23,000+ (DOE)
• Flexible and hybrid working available
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays - increasing to 25 days after 3 years of service
