Job description

Axon Moore is delighted to be exclusively working on an outstanding opportunity for an individual looking to be exposed to the different sides of finance whilst studying towards ACCA / CIMA. Placing an individual previously within this role who has progressed up - I can vouch for the team's support and environment.

This role will provide an initial 9 months in Financial Reporting, then switching to 9 months in FP&A. Whilst being given full study support, you will also receive a bonus for each exam passed!!

Location: Central Manchester

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000

Main duties to give a flavour of the role:

  1. Posting purchase invoices into Sage and obtaining relevant authorisation
  2. Posting partner expense claims into Sage
  3. Resolution of purchase ledger queries
  4. Setting up weekly payment run
  5. Daily bank reconciliation
  6. Monthly credit card statements
  7. Ad hoc queries

Moving on to -

  1. Perform weekly sales, marketing, and business planning forecasts to align with organisational goals.
  2. Provide weekly P&L forecasts to monitor and assess financial performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
  4. Conduct strategic analysis and build financial models to support long-term planning initiatives.
  5. Analyse business processes and financial data to uncover opportunities for value enhancement and operational improvements.
  6. Financial assessment of new partner opportunities and assist the management in investment decisions.
  7. Prepare accurate and timely commission statements for partners.
  8. Ensure all commercial data is up to date and accurately reflected in the systems.
  9. Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Person specification:

  1. A minimum of 12 months experience within a finance position, looking to progress in your career.
  2. An enthusiastic and focused person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  3. A driven individual with the desire to learn and understand the business and help solve problems.
  4. Confident and approachable manner and able to converse with senior management.
  5. Excel skills.
