Job description

We are supporting a company based in Bury St Edmunds with recruiting for a full time, permanent Trainee Accountant. This office-based position is Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week and the salary is depending on experience. This company will consider someone at the start of their accounting career who are looking for long term at becoming an Accountant. They will provide you with study support and training to help build your career.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of draft accounts, the accounts files require sufficient details for the tax department and should include supporting analysis and invoices.
  • Dealing with telephone calls, client meetings and general office administration
  • Preparation of tax computations with supervision for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, LLPs and charities
  • Correspond with clients and third parties
  • Support with adhoc duties and client work, including research when required

You must be able to manage your time effectively and be open to adapt to the needs of the role and team. You must also have good communication skills with excellent attention to details.
