An established industry player in the not-for-profit sector is seeking a Trainee Accountant to support their growth plans. This role offers a flexible hybrid working policy and a supportive environment for pursuing chartered accountancy qualifications. You will be involved in producing management accounts, budgeting, and assisting with Accounts Payable. Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to partner with a client in the not-for-profit sector in their search for a Trainee Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created role has been designed to support and sustain their growth plans. Based in Edinburgh, the role offers a very flexible hybrid working policy.
The Opportunity
Our client operates across Edinburgh and is currently going through a period of commercialisation. They have developed a new strategy to increase turnover and enhance profitability. To support this growth plan, they have created this position.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Background and Experience
The ideal candidate does not need to have experience in all of the above areas, as the client is willing to train, develop, and upskill the successful individual. An understanding of Accounts Payable and proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables) is required. Experience with Power BI would be advantageous.
This position offers the successful candidate an excellent environment in which to study and progress through their chartered accountancy qualification, with the support of a flexible and collaborative organisation and a highly experienced Head of Finance.
