This is an exciting opportunity to join large, friendly, and experienced teams of local authority finance professionals. As a Trainee Accountant, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience across a broad range of accountancy functions, including providing support to budget managers, assisting with budget monitoring and forecasting, preparing accounts, and engaging in treasury management activities.
You will be supported with a study and development package that will lead to a formal qualification, with opportunities for progression through the career grade as you complete qualifications and demonstrate key competencies required for the role. The position will rotate periodically across key areas of finance to ensure comprehensive exposure and experience.
