The Training

Oakensen is dedicated to developing your technical and interpersonal skills, helping you progress quickly in your career as a Chartered Accountant. You will face new challenges, solve complex problems, and adapt to various tasks. A structured training plan and individual development focus will support your growth, confidence, and potential.

You will be provided with a full study support package to achieve your ACA qualification via a Level 7 apprenticeship. Support includes peer mentoring, tailored development plans, and regular reviews.

As the ACA exams are demanding, expect to dedicate approximately 10-20 hours weekly to studying alongside your work. Commitment and focus are essential to succeed in both areas.

Responsibilities

Accountancy today emphasizes data analysis and problem-solving over simple numeracy. You will interact with clients regularly, interpret data, communicate insights, and provide solutions.

Your work will include Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Audit tasks, helping you develop a versatile skill set for various career paths.

You will learn to prepare financial statements, tax returns, and audit accounts for fraud or errors, using different software tools, assisting clients with digital solutions, and communicating technical information effectively.
