Overview

Are you looking to kick-start your career in Finance and work towards becoming a qualified accountant? We are looking for two Trainee Accountants to join our highly skilled and experienced Finance team at Burges Salmon. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting disciplines while receiving support towards your ACCA or CIMA qualification.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Supporting management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
  • Contributing to tax compliance, including VAT returns and tax computations
  • Partner accounting, including reconciliations and profit share calculations
  • Analysing financial data and supporting business performance
  • Building strong relationships across the business through effective communication
What We Are Looking For
  • A 2:1 degree (accounting-related preferred) or fully qualified AAT
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
  • A commitment to completing a chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
  • A curious, proactive mindset with a drive to learn and improve
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office suite
