Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering a modern and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Stockport as they recruit for a trainee accountant to join their growing team. Offering up to £27,500, on-the-job training and development, study support, profit share bonus scheme, 26 days holiday, and a fun & collaborative modern office, with excellent facilities.

This practice has grown significantly over the last 12 months and is looking to continue their growth and expansion by onboarding an ambitious accountant, who is either a graduate, or recently AAT qualified or part ACCA qualified. The successful candidate will be working within a varied portfolio of sole traders to multi-million-pound corporations and have the opportunity to train and develop their career in accountancy.

Junior Accountant Job Overview

1. Take a customer 'lead' through a selling process to company set up.
2. Register the company for all relevant taxes.
3. Secure company information from clients each quarter in order to prepare quarterly management accounts.
4. Preparation of statutory year end accounts without error within three months of company year ends.
5. Issuing company accounts for director's signature and on-time filing at Companies House.
6. Timely preparation, delivery and on-time submission of Quarterly VAT returns.
7. Prepare PAYE/NI returns, issuing to directors and ensure on-time submission.
8. Corporation tax computation, timely payment and CT600 filings.

Trainee Accountant Job Requirements

The minimum criteria you'll need is:

1. Be AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified or an accounting & finance graduate.
2. Have a minimum B grade in GCSE Mathematics.
3. Have detailed knowledge of the SAGE accounts system or a similar system.
