Job description

About Us:

At Graphic Packaging International, we don't just make packaging - we help brandsstand outon the shelf. From your favourite cereal boxes to your go-to beverage carriers, chances are you've already come across our work. At the Gateshead site, we're all about innovation, teamwork, and adding a little fun to the fold (pun intended!).

The Role:

Are you ready to kick-start your career in a place where cardboard is cool and clients are key? As a Trainee Account Coordinator, you will be the friendly face and organised mind behind the scenes, supporting our customers and internal teams to make sure every packaging project runs smoothly.

You will learn the ropes from our experienced team, build strong client relationships, and gain a solid understanding of how world-class packaging is made. Bonus: you will develop some serious skills in communication, problem solving, and time management - all while having fun in a fast-paced creative environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the Account Managers with day-to-day client communication
  • Help manage orders, timelines, and project details (think organised chaos - but under control)
  • Liaise with design, production, and logistics teams
  • Keep customers updated and smiling
  • Attend team huddles, brainstorming and maybe the odd biscuit-fuelled meeting
  • Spot opportunities to make our service even better

What we are looking for:

  • A positive, can-do attitude (we love team players)
  • Great communication skills - written and verbal
  • A knack for organisation and juggling tasks
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, the usual suspects)
  • Lots of enthusiasm and we will teach you the rest!

What you will get:

  • Full training and mentoring
  • Opportunities to grow within a global packaging powerhouse
  • A friendly team who will support you every step of the way
  • A dynamic, creative work environment
  • Oh, and plenty of free tea and coffee

Join us:

If you are ready to step into the world of packaging, bring your energy, and build a career with real impact - we would love to hear from you!
