Supporting children with ASD and co-existing Mental Health Needs
Full-Time Position
An incredible, renowned SEN School for young people and children with a primary diagnosis of ASD, based in Maidenhead, is looking for a Trainee ABA Therapist to join their team. The young people at this school all have a diagnosis of ASD, which co-exists with various complex mental health needs.
Your role will involve learning the basics of ABA therapy and implementing this in daily school activities. The school employs a positive behaviour approach, and the trainee ABA therapist will be expected to uphold this methodology.
The position is full-time, working from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm. It is a long-term temporary role initially, with potential for permanent opportunities in the future.
The school is seeking a passionate individual who is committed to supporting the well-being of the children and interested in pursuing a career working with children, SEN, Psychology, Therapy, or related fields. Graduates are welcome to apply. No prior experience is necessary; the school values the right personality and motivation to work with SEN pupils. However, relevant experience is a plus.
The successful candidate will receive weekly training, learn from trained professionals, and gain invaluable experience working with verbal and non-verbal SEN students.
