Job Purpose

The 3D Technical CAD Animator will work within our animation team and drawing office department, responsible for creating various 2D/3D animations and visualisation projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Produce accurate technical animations of offshore engineering activities and installation sequences.
2. Create high-quality 2D/3D renders, storyboards, and infographic visuals.
3. Develop 3D models of engineering and offshore equipment from source data such as GA drawings, laser scans, sketches, and photos.
4. Prepare 3D scenes and perform interface and clash detection for design reviews.
5. Collaborate with engineers, draughtsmen, and surveyors to understand project scopes and deliverables.
6. Support and train team members as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or college qualification in computer animation or equivalent industry experience.
• Practical knowledge of 3D animation using 3Ds Max.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple projects.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively under deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Chaos Group Vray and Phoenix FD.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor (advantageous but not essential).
• Understanding of the Oil and Gas industry (advantageous).
