Role responsibilities

As Traincrew Diagramming Production Planner, you will work alongside a team of colleagues within Train Planning responsible for delivering the LTP and STP traincrew diagrams. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing traincrew diagrams that are robust to deliver Transport for Wales train service, including special events, and preparing cost-effective taxi plans.
• Ensuring diagrams meet franchise performance targets and are delivered timely.
• Liaising with Customer Services, Operations, and Resource Centres to ensure diagrams meet manpower and budget plans and are feasible within available resources.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to planning and diagramming processes and systems.

• Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
• Experience of achieving deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Previous train planning experience is desirable.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh is a plus but not essential. Transport for Wales supports and encourages Welsh language development through online learning, classroom courses, and community programs.
