Job summary

Optime Group is recruiting for a Train Station Cleaner in East Croydon. This full-time role offers overtime opportunities and an immediate start with weekly pay and full training provided.

You will travel across GTR stations, clean platforms and facilities, and report hazards while following safety procedures. The position includes a 14:00-22:00 Wed-Sun shift pattern with a 1-hour unpaid break and a free Rail Card.

Qualifications

• Travel between GTR stations as part of daily duties.
• Clean platforms, station areas, toilets and passenger facilities.
• Carry out litter picking, sweeping, mopping and waste removal.
• Respond to reactive cleaning requests across the network.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH and railway safety procedures.
• Provide a professional and helpful service to passengers.
• Complete cleaning checks and records as required.

Key Duties:

• Travel across the GTR network between allocated stations.
• Clean platforms, station areas, toilets and passenger facilities.
• Carry out litter picking, sweeping, mopping and waste removal.
• Respond to reactive and urgent cleaning requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Report hazards, damage and maintenance issues.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH and railway safety procedures.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Provide a professional and helpful service to passengers.
• Complete cleaning checks and records as required.
• Work independently and follow allocated routes and schedules.

Location/Coverage/ Shifts:

• Caterham, Whyteleafe, Kenley, Purley Oaks, Purley, Coulsdon South- Wed-Sun 14:00-22:00 (1h unpaid break)
• Wadodon, Wallington, Carlsholtan Beeches, Ewell East, Epsom, Ashtead - Wed-Sun 14:00-22:00 (1h unpaid break)
