OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a Train Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of trains and ensure a safe, pleasant environment for passengers and staff. The role requires night and weekend shifts, and you will be expected to pass a medical and a drug/alcohol test before starting, with DTS safety training completed.

Free travel to and from work is provided on SWR trains. OCS UK & Ireland delivers services across facilities management, including cleaning and security, and values diversity and inclusion

• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train.
• Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials.

About The Role:

Working Pattern

Shift times 23+00 - 05+30 sunday to Friday Saturday 23+00 - 07+00 But this will depend on the shifts

As Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. This role plays a crucial part in the overall maintenance and appearance of trains, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
• Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
• You will have strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.

Additional information:

• You will need to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test prior to starting in this role.
• You will also be required to complete a Depot Track Safety (DTS) training course.
• Free travel to and from work will be provided on SWR trains.
