Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a train cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness aboard services. The role involves traveling on trains while in service and delivering excellent customer-specified cleaning standards.

Shifts are 8 hours with variable start times; night and weekend work may be required to support ongoing operations. This is a frontline role focused on passenger experience and cleanliness in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks inside the train, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure daily tasks can be completed.
• Work onboard trains during travel and interact with passengers and train crew.

About The Role

Shift patterns: 8 hours. Variable days and start times.

8 hours per day Earliest start time 5:30 latest finish time 23:00

This role plays a crucial part in the overall maintenance and appearance of trains, contributing to a positive customer experience. You will travel on the train whilst it is in service, upholding an excellent cleaning service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
• You will work onboard the trains during travel and will therefore have interaction with passengers and train crew

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• You must have right to work in the UK.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.
