Overview

Trailer Technician / Fitter (Skilled and Trainees with relevant mechanical experience) SPR is a trusted full-service trailer specialist, offering maintenance, servicing, MOTs, quay checks, and 24/7 roadside repairs. We are seeking skilled Trailer Technicians / Fitters to join our well-established team based in Harworth, Doncaster.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out on-site servicing and breakdown cover as required
• Preparing trailers in the workshop for MOT inspections
• Attending roadside breakdowns and undertaking repairs/servicing at customer sites
• Performing trailer checks and repairs at the quayside
• Following company procedures, safe systems of work, and Health & Safety regulations
• Working efficiently, responsibly, and in a timely manner

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant mechanical/engineering skills; ideal previous experience in a similar role
• Strong time management, reliability, and ability to perform under pressure
• A full driving licence is required
• A C+E licence would be an advantage (training can be provided if required)
• We welcome applications from those with less experience; trainees with mechanical skills can expect earnings related to experience and overtime

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary: base around £43,000 per annum with realistic potential earnings of £47,000+ depending on experience
• Other benefits: double time pay for non-rostered overtime; holiday pay calculated on average earnings; increased holiday entitlement with length of service; annual performance-related bonus

For the Trailer Technician / Fitter role, you will bring relevant mechanical/engineering skills and ideally previous experience in a similar role. Strong time management, reliability, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. A full driving licence is required.
