Job summary

SWARCO UK & Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic Installer to join our Glasgow team. This hands‑on role involves installing, refurbishing, repairing and commissioning traffic signals and urban traffic technology across customer sites.

If you have experience with traffic signal installations or similar electrical infrastructure and enjoy outdoor problem solving, this could be your opportunity to contribute from installation to completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Basic electrical knowledge applicable to traffic signal work.
• Basic understanding of traffic signal installation and theory.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to safety on site.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning traffic signals and urban traffic technology.
• Delivering installation projects safely, on time and to required quality standards.
• Taking ownership of on-site work and professional handover to customers.
• Working with project teams to report changes to scope.
• Ensuring all work aligns with QHSE requirements.
• Completing worksheets, timesheets and project documentation accurately.
• Maintaining vehicles, tools and PPE in good condition.
• Following methods of work and representing SWARCO professionally to customers.
