Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to be based at our field depot in the UK. The role focuses on fault diagnosis, maintenance, installation, and optimization of traffic signal and related systems.

You will diagnose complex faults, configure equipment, and support installation teams while maintaining high service standards. Candidates should have electrical engineering training (HNC/ONC/City & Guilds or equivalent), be eligible for standby duties, and hold a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Experience with National Highway Sector Scheme 8 and ITS products.
• Testing electrical equipment in an industrial setting.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, maintenance and installation of traffic signal equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to colleagues on traffic signal equipment.
• Perform complex fault diagnosis of traffic signal and ancillary equipment (CCTV, VMS Comms, routers).
• Provide technical expertise to other Technical Support Engineers and support maintenance/installation teams.
• Configure traffic signal equipment.
• Commission traffic signaling equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Be available for standby duty and emergency repairs/out-of-hours service contracts.
• Complete mandatory NHSS training requirements.
• Collaborate with Poole team to refine processes and tools used for work execution.
• Initiate and drive improvement projects to optimize efficiency.
• Work with managers to ensure consistent, high-quality work across the team.
• Implement best practices to address inconsistencies.
• Coach and mentor other engineers.
• Undertake relevant training to stay updated with new equipment and systems.
